With that outta the way, Al Lover recently started the new indie label Reflective Flesh Records.

I’d post some developments but I’d rather you click the link and check out the Reflective Flesh blog, free downloads and such after that jump. Click here to check out http://reflectiveflesh.blogspot.com/
Besides all that, Philo and I (Gus Cutty) recently wrote and recorded the last song for the new Ironfist album titled “Homesick” all about, you guessed it, North Carolina. We begin mix down on the new album this week, and the Philo produced vinyl release should be available by the end of summer. The Crazy Mob album is in mix down right now, Ill keep you posted with any developments. Are day to day has turned very productive, and self destructive, as of late. With the entire crew single, and beats pouring generously into the atmosphere, we have begun writing and recording a ridiculous amount of new material. Just last weekend as a crew we wrote and recorded 7 new songs and played a legendary show. And so far this work week has produced three more tracks that I know of, it’s hard to keep track of, and that’s a good thing. The new Fist Fam record is completely produced by Al Lover and will be released on Reflective Flesh Records on vinyl this August. The main characters being Ironfist (Philo and Gus Cutty), Doublefist (Ronny Mac and Jay Eaze), LQ Savee, Mimo, and the triumphant return to rap, Linus. Other albums in the works include LQR Sick (Ronny Mac and LQ Savee), a Micah Aza produced Fist Fam album, and a project with Big Shawn, of Bored Stiff fame. Keep checking back and I swear if I do slack I’ll catch yall up in due time.

GRAND INVINCIBLE & AL LOVER

7 March, 2010 (14:10) | Art, Friends, Shows, Sounds | No comments

The new Grand Invincible album is bananas and the show will be Rtarded.
Al Lover just released his new beat tape for free download.

“With this project I really wanted to do something dirty, and sloppy (That’s what she said). Anyhow, I wanted it to sound as raw as possible. All the sequencing is done live, and I think it gives it a kind of an organic feel. It makes me think of a band practicing, and tightening up as they go. It’s an ugly thing, and thats my favorite part about it. I toyed around with some new styles of drum programing. I did less sampling, and all the beats are really minimal. Plus, you can never get enough tambourine. I hope you like it. Download it for free”

Also I would like to introduce my new blog “Fog Breaks” where I will be posting all of our Bay Area friend’s updates from here on out. I’m doing this both to help focus this blog on what it should be, a venue for Fist Family information, and also to support our local scene by providing a central information hub for the creative artists around us. Check back often and let me know if you have and suggestions or criticism. Click here to check out “Fog Breaks”
