FUN AND STUFF LIKE THAT
Just a quick update for the Fist Folk out there.
WHAT THE FUCK HAVE YALL BEEN UP TO? I MEAN BESIDES DRINKING AND PINBALLING DOWN HALLWAYS.
Believe it or not, a great deal. Over here at The Comfort Zone, my lil nickname for Pappy’s studio, the LQR Sick album is coming along quite nicely. If you’re intelligent enough to tune into Worstcase Scenario on ashevillefm.org every week then you’ve most likely heard a leak off of this new project starring Ronny Mac “The Pappy” & LQ Savee “The Liquor Savage” and produced by our imaginary friend Conceit. It is a pretty thorough representation of the direction we have all found ourselves leaning toward over the past year, which is basically early nineties production and lofi means. And by lo-fi means I mean we are plotting a serious step into the world of vinyl. That’s right, vinyl. No not Philo’s pants, records stupid. Ronny Mac and I (Gus Cutty, basically the voice of this blog) are in the beginning stages of creating our first 7″ for a little diddy we like to call “San Francisco Bay” produced by our rellie (relish, relative, nahmean?) Commisioner Gordon, who is himself making bold moves out in the Triad of NC. However, not to get ahead of myself, the next full length release from Fist Fam will be the Crazy Mob album which is in the mixing stage as I type.
Much more from those guys coming soon. Back to vinyl, the new Ironfist album is almost complete content wise and will be ready to record by the end of the month. We will be releasing this album exclusively on vinyl with a free download card included. Pretty exciting huh? Smidi has been working overtime recording everything he can get his paws on the past few weeks. Expect good music, and you will not be let down. We have been playing steadily as always with several shows planned for the near future. One more thing to look out for is that I will be appearing live on Worstcase Scenario premiering some exclusive music and answering dumb questions with moronic answers on February 18th, so yeah, that should be fun. Much more on the way, so stay tuned and like J Eaze always says Snappy Damn Tom!!! Ahhh, words to live by.
